Danish Technological Institute
Farming is turning digital with satellites, cameras and sensors everywhere registering among many other things machine performance, weeds, yield etc., thus providing the farmer with lots of data. The challenge for the the agtech industry is to make all the digital systems work seamless, integrate all the layers of data and generate value both for the industry itself and the farmer.
Presentation by Ivar Ravn, Head of Digital, SEGES
The future is Digital Farming! Digitalization in the Danish food cluster is moving fast and Danish farmers are among the frontrunners when it comes to efficient, digital solutions. More and more field and livestock data is collected through satellites and sensors, with the potential to bring even more value through digital solutions and tools for farmers and advisory services.
Presentation by Mette Walter, Head of Field Technology, Danish Technological Institute
Some technologies take longer to be adopted by farmers than others. Tests and training are valuable tools in implementing new technologies.
Presentation by Poul Bækbo, SEGES
There is an increasing demand for reduction in the use of antibiotics in livestock production to ensure a low level of resistant bacteria of human and animal significance. During more than 20 years a lot of initiatives have been taken In Denmark to reduce the use of antibiotics in the pig production. Some of these will be highlighted as well as some of the recent trials from SEGES that potentially will promote the possibility of weaning of healthy piglets without the use of medical Zinc and with a minimal use of antibiotics.
Presentation by Jorge Fernandez, Head of Product, Agriculture Solutions, Pix4D
To create a fully dedicated product for agriculture we had to go beyond research & development. Pix4Dfields was created as a product that understands and fits in the agriculture industry by providing fast and accurate maps while in the field, and a powerful set of tools, fully dedicated to agricultural workflows.
We will showcase real examples from the most common fields of applications in agriculture like digital scouting, crop protection, crop production, and irrigation management using Pix4Dfields.
